If the pulp becomes infected, the infection can spread through the entire root canal system of the tooth. This will eventually lead to an abscess. learn moreBindi qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine (Cardiff) in 2001. She then worked in general practice in London and Hertfordshire. She became the Principal Dental Surgeon of Ashwell Dental Surgery in October 2004 and is completed her MFGDP qualification in November 2007.
Bindi is very passionate about dentistry and has the constant desire and drive to learn new and exciting techniques. She enjoys working with nervous patients and children helping them to reduce their anxiety.
As Ashwell Dental Surgery’s reputation for quality care grew, in 2006 she expanded the practice from two surgeries to four in order to meet demand.
Vishal graduated in Dental Surgery at Cardiff University in 2010 and in 2012 gained a Membership to the Joint Dental Faculties from the Royal College of Surgeons. He has spent 2 years at the University of Manchester and trained under some of the country’s leading surgeons, where he went on to obtained a Master’s Degree in Dental Implantology.
Over the last few years he has developed an extensive portfolio in dental implant placement and restoration, achieving excellent dental implant success rates. He is able to offer advanced procedures to include bone grafting, sinus augmentation and full mouth implant rehabilitation.
Vishal is an enthusiastic and meticulous surgeon. He finds his job very rewarding and thrives to provide his patients with comprehensive evidence based treatment. He enjoys treatment planning and problem-solving, to help patients with difficult requirements. He is able to share his knowledge and takes an active role, mentoring colleagues in all aspects of dental implantology.
Adesh graduated from CardiffUniversity in 2013 with Honours. Since then he has carried out several training posts across hospitals in London and South West England which helped develop his passion for the specialty of oral surgery.
He currently works at the prestigious Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospitals in the Department of Oral Surgery and has also worked in several practices across south London and the KSS region providing minor oral surgery. He has a passion for teaching and is heavily involved in the training of dental core trainees and postgraduate students.
Adesh is competent in a variety of oral surgery procedures with a special interest in the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. He is also accredited to provide conscious sedation for nervous patients. He aims to bring hospital standard specialist dentistry into the dental practice environment.
Radhika graduated from the University of Bristol with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. Radhika has treated patients with a wide range of needs in general dentistry and hospital settings. Her holistic treatment approach aims to promote general wellbeing in addition to dental health.
She understands that the dental visit can be daunting for some and is committed to creating a comfortable atmosphere, particularly for those with dental anxiety. She especially enjoys treating children and believes providing a positive experience is essential to their oral health journey.
Outside of work, she attends courses on various aspects of dentistry, fuelled by the passion to keep giving the best possible care to her patients. She spends her spare time exploring woodlands, painting and cross-stitching.
Marie trained as a dental nurse at University College Hospital qualifying in 1986. As a Dental Nurse she worked in both hospital and general practice. She trained as a Dental Hygienist at Kings College Hospital qualifying in 1993.
She joined us at Ashwell in October 2008 and has been an integral part of the team ever since.
Marie likes to try to tailor her treatment to each individual's needs and enjoys working with children, helping nervous patients and treating complex cases.
Casey has been working as a dental nurse at the practice since 2018. After finishing her dental nursing diploma she completed a level 7 qualification in facial aesthetics and rejuvenation.
Casey offers a wide range of treatments at the practice including dermal filler, anti-wrinkle treatments and micro-needling. She is very passionate about this aspect of her career.
Outside of work, Casey is a sociable person and likes to meet up with her friends regularly.
Darcy started at Ashwell Dental Surgery in May 2022. She is currently studying for her masters in Forensic Psychology and hopes to one day help victims of crime. She enjoys working as a receptionist as she loves to talk to people and takes this as the perfect opportunity to do that.
Out of work she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her dog; and also loves to visit new places.
Lauren joined us at Ashwell Dental Surgery in July 2023. After spending 10 years in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and class instructor, Lauren decided that she would like to pursue a career in Dental Nursing.
Outside of work and in her spare time Lauren enjoys travelling, spending time with the family and occasionally teaches fitness classes.5
